2. About the Opportunity: The Patient Services Specialist is responsible for providing patient-centered coordination and support as part of the Patient Engagement Center team. This role serves as an entry point for patients seeking treatment, assisting with navigation, appointment scheduling, technical support for patient health applications, and acting as an informational resource. The position contributes to improving patient access and engagement within the health system.
3. Responsibilities:
- Provide coordinated access to healthcare facilities, institutes, and clinics.
- Assist patients in finding physicians within the health network.
- Schedule appointments and classes for patients.
- Provide tier 1 technical support for patient health applications.
- Serve as an informational resource and entry point for patients.
- Foster and nurture relationships with existing and prospective patients.
4. Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years customer service experience, preferably in healthcare.
- Minimum of 2 years experience engaging customers virtually over the phone.
- Preferred: 1 or more years of technical support experience.
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
- Salary ranges vary by location, for example:
- Anchorage, AK: $23.02 to $30.24 per hour
- Northern California (excluding Humboldt): $26.92 to $35.37 per hour
- Portland, OR area: $23.02 to $30.24 per hour
- Other locations have specified ranges within these general levels.
- Placement within the wage range will depend on experience and other factors.
- Additional compensation may include shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonuses.
