Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Clerk to join our office team. The Payroll Clerk will be responsible for time-keeping applications and processing payroll, ensuring accuracy and maintaining records in compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Review and upload employee time data daily
  • Process weekly payroll, ensuring all hours, deductions, and benefits are correct
  • Ensure compliance with the Prevailing Wage Law, including preparing certified payroll filings
  • Manage union benefits and file monthly reports as required
  • Set up new projects and post payroll to job cost records
  • Address employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Provide general bookkeeping and office support as needed

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in payroll processing or similar accounting/administrative role preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Independent problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under deadlines
  • Knowledge of payroll tax regulations and labor laws is a plus.
