Role Description This part-time remote Payroll Specialist role is responsible for accurately processing payroll for assigned clients or internal teams. Daily tasks include collecting and verifying timesheets and compensation data, calculating wages, overtime, and deductions, and ensuring timely payroll runs. The Payroll Specialist will manage payroll taxes, handle garnishments, and coordinate with payroll service providers as needed. The role also involves responding to payroll-related inquiries, maintaining compliant payroll records, and supporting audits or reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong payroll administration skills, including Payroll Administration and Payroll Processing.
- Knowledge of compliance-related payroll activities, such as Payroll Taxes and Garnishments.
- Experience working with Payroll Services and related payroll systems or platforms.
- Attention to detail, strong numerical and analytical skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency with spreadsheet and payroll software; familiarity with HR or accounting systems is an advantage.
- Solid communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting.
- Previous experience in payroll, accounting, or HR support; relevant certification or coursework is a plus.
