Duties
- Deliver engaging and interactive classroom lessons covering essential PCA/HHA skills, including patient safety, manual handling, and basic life support techniques
- Facilitate hands-on training in medical equipment operation, electronic health records (EHR) management, and infection control protocols within care facilities
- Prepare students for real-world scenarios involving geriatric patients, post-acute care, outpatient services, and inpatient settings
- Assist students in developing competencies related to medical terminology, CPR certification, and emergency response procedures
- Coordinate with healthcare partners to ensure smooth job placement opportunities for graduates
- Provide ongoing mentorship and support to students throughout their training journey
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and certification achievements
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional healthcare-related certifications are a plus
- Strong communication skills with the ability to teach complex concepts clearly and effectively
- Prior experience or familiarity with hospital medicine, emergency medicine, or trauma centers is advantageous
- Knowledge of acute care environments such as ICU (Intensive Care Unit), PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or surgical units preferred
- Familiarity with medical-surgical nursing practices, geriatrics, and post-acute care settings
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, infection control, and quality care standards
- Ability to work collaboratively in team-oriented environments across outpatient clinics, inpatient units, or sub-acute care facilities
