2. About the Opportunity:

The People & Culture Business Partner plays a central role in supporting a workforce of over 220 employees across 25 states. This position ensures a consistent, supportive experience for employees and managers by managing employee relations, recruiting for corporate roles, and maintaining compliance with employment laws. The role is essential for building trust within the organization and enabling managers to become effective people leaders.

3. Responsibilities:

• Serve as primary HR contact for employees and managers regarding policies and workplace concerns

• Investigate and resolve employee relations issues with discretion and consistency

• Collaborate on complex performance, investigation, and separation matters

• Support retail locations with day-to-day people management

• Manage workers’ compensation claims

• Handle recruiting operations for corporate roles below manager level

• Deliver onboarding processes for new hires

• Assist managers with performance coaching and improvement plans

• Facilitate promotions and compensation changes

• Monitor and maintain compliance with federal and state employment laws in 25 states

• Respond to policy questions on wage, leave, and workplace issues

• Ensure completion of harassment prevention training

• Maintain required workplace postings

• Manage onboarding and offboarding processes

• Administer leave of absence programs

• Maintain accurate HR records and compliance documentation

• Identify and implement improvements in HR processes

4. Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years progressive HR experience, preferably HRBP, HR Generalist, or People Operations

• Experience supporting multi-state workforces and knowledge of employment laws

• Experience in retail or multi-location retail support

• Skilled in investigations, performance management, and employee separations

• Experience with recruiting operations and ATS management

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities

• Proficiency with Google Suite, Asana, HRIS; ADP Workforce Now a plus

• Alignment with the organization’s mission and values

Preferred:

• Experience with ADP, Workable, Easy Llama

• SHRM or PHR certifications

• Location in Jackson Hole, WY; Salt Lake City, UT; or Denver, CO

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
