Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to deliver high-quality rehabilitative care to diverse patient populations across inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing, home health, and outpatient settings. Your expertise in physiotherapy techniques, clinical documentation, and patient communication will be vital in helping patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve overall function. Duties
- Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing comprehensive physical therapy treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Perform manual therapy techniques, including trigger point therapy, to alleviate pain and improve tissue mobility.
- Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions, ensuring proper use and maintenance.
- Document clinical assessments, treatment progress, and discharge plans accurately following clinical documentation standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals such as physicians, occupational therapists, and nurses to coordinate patient care strategies.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, injury prevention, and post-discharge care plans.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently to ensure up-to-date medical documentation and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Proven experience in clinical assessment documentation and medical documentation practices.
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and related medical terminology.
- Skilled in physical therapy treatment implementation including manual therapy techniques like trigger point therapy.
- Familiarity with medical equipment operation and outpatient or inpatient care environments.
- Strong communication skills for effective caregiver and client interactions across diverse populations.
- Experience working within skilled nursing facilities, home health settings, or acute care environments is preferred.

Pay: $43.00 – $45.00 per hour
