About the Position
This is a full‑time, permanent Physician Assistant position in Orthopedic Surgery at a community‑involved critical access hospital in Windom, Minnesota. The PA will provide primary care for patients with musculoskeletal issues, including fractures, arthritis, osteoporosis, joint replacements, and other injuries.
The PA will practice independently or alongside an orthopedic physician in‑clinic and will treat both pediatric and adult patients.
The clinic is located in a scenic rural community with lake recreation and outdoor opportunities, offering a unique working environment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage musculoskeletal conditions in adult and pediatric patients.
- Perform surgical assistance and post‑operative care as needed.
- Collaborate with orthopedic physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- Administer medication, provide wound care, and prescribe treatments within scope of practice.
- Maintain accurate, current electronic medical records.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current PA licence in the State of Minnesota (or willingness to obtain).
- Minimum one year of experience in an Orthopedic clinic or surgery setting.
- Strong diagnostic and interpersonal skills.
