Plant Maintenance Technician Jobs in Florence, CO at Fremont Sanitation District
The Fremont Sanitation District (FSD) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Plant Maintenance Tech I in the Wastewater Treatment Department.
The Plant Maintenance Technician works under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Foreman to repair and maintain the buildings, grounds, plant equipment, and biosolids processing equipment at the wastewater treatment facility. Will periodically receive direction from Plant Operators.
This is a full-time position with a 40-hour per week schedule, working one of the following three shifts:
- Sunday-Wednesday
- Tuesday-Friday
- Wednesday-Saturday
May be required to work during emergency situations.
The position will be filled at one of the following levels, depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications:
Plant Maintenance Technician I (Starting Salary $22.47 per hour)
- One year of relevant experience
- Current valid State of Colorado “R” Driver’s License. Must obtain Colorado Class “B” Commercial Driver License (CDL) within six (6) months of employment.
Plant Maintenance Technician II (Starting Salary $24.78 per hour)
- One year of increasingly responsible experience in the maintenance and repair of a wastewater treatment plant or similar facility required
- Current valid Colorado Class “B” Commercial Driver License (CDL)
Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Certification for Confined Spaces must be obtained within (3) months of hire
Upon offer of employment, candidate will be subject to a pre-employment background check, including employment references, criminal history, driving record review, and drug/alcohol testing.
