POS Implementation Technician (English & Mandarin) Jobs in San Francisco, CA at Confidential
Seeking bilingual (English/Chinese) technician for implementation of the Toast cloud-based restaurant point of sale and management system. This position involves working primarily on site in a wide range of restaurants and retail locations, with occasional remote appointments available. The Implementation Technician is responsible for network and hardware setup, training, and go-live support. The person in this role will be an expert in the features and functionality of Toast POS and lead the rollout accordingly.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Network and Hardware Setup
- Conduct site surveys to assess the readiness of restaurant/retail construction and cabling, and advise restaurant owners accordingly
- Establish an organized, isolated network for Toast hardware and networking equipment
- Set up and configure Toast hardware including Toast terminals, printers, cash drawers, kitchen display screens, kiosks, handhelds, and wireless access points
- Complete and submit installation documentation promptly
Training
- Act as a consultant to restaurant/retail owners and operators to effectively implement Toast functionality to meet their unique needs
- Train restaurant/retail owners, operators, and managers on basic configuration and set up
- Conduct training on the POS for front of house, back of house, and managers
Go Live Support
- Provide support during initial rollout to answer questions, troubleshoot, and walk restaurant/retail owners and operators through additional Toast functionality
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain communication with onboarding consultants and internal stakeholders
- Remain up to date on Toast related updates and new features
The Ideal candidate will possess:
- Restaurant experience
- Retail experience
- Point of sale configuration experience
- Network certification or relevant experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication
- Experience with Toast POS in an administrative, management, and/or front end capacity
- Adaptability and a willingness to learn
- Ability to speak English and Mandarin language
- Willingness to travel outside of local area

Pay: $28/hour (overtime eligible, where applicable)
