Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate lessons that promote literacy, math, and overall early childhood development.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a structured, safe, and inclusive environment for children.
- Engage with children through interactive activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and social skills.
- Help supervise children during daily routines such as mealtime, nap time, outdoor play, and transitions between activities.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior and address challenges compassionately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials, toys, and learning resources to ensure a safe learning environment.
Skills
- Strong understanding of early childhood education principles, including childhood development milestones.
- Experience with lesson planning and curriculum development tailored to preschool-aged children.
- Knowledge of literacy education, math concepts or other educational philosophies like toddler care or preschool experience.
- Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and team members clearly and professionally.
- Classroom management skills to foster a positive learning environment while encouraging independence and cooperation among children.
