Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Preschool Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. As a key leader in early childhood education, you will develop and implement age-appropriate curricula, manage daily classroom activities, and support the social, emotional, and cognitive development of preschool children. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a positive foundation for each child’s educational journey, ensuring they thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Duties
- Design and execute dynamic lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, incorporating curriculum development principles and literacy education strategies.
- Lead daily classroom activities that promote active learning, social interaction, and physical development, including teaching physical education and toddler care.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques, fostering a respectful and inclusive environment for all children.
- Collaborate with families to communicate children’s progress, developmental milestones, and any special education or early intervention needs.
- Implement classroom management best practices to maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating learning space that supports childcare and preschool experience requirements.
- Assess children’s developmental progress using standardized testing methods when appropriate; adapt teaching approaches to meet individual needs including children requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Supervise assistant teachers and support staff to ensure high-quality childcare while maintaining compliance with licensing standards and childhood development best practices.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of childhood development theories and practices, including Montessori methods and early childhood education frameworks.
- Proven experience in classroom management, lesson planning, and teaching young children across diverse backgrounds.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Ability to develop tailored curricula that incorporate literacy education, math fundamentals, and hands-on activities for preschoolers.
- Expertise in working with children requiring special education or early intervention services; familiarity with behavior management strategies.
- Experience in daycare or private school settings; familiarity with standardized testing procedures for early learners.

Pay: $16.00 – $17.00 per hour
