Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Private Caregiver to provide personalized, high-quality care to individuals in their homes or community settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, with expertise in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), medication management, and health monitoring. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Monitor vital signs and observe patient conditions to identify any changes requiring medical attention.
- Administer medications accurately following care plans and maintain detailed documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support clients during meal preparation and ensure nutritional needs are met through proper dietary assistance.
- Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning and sanitation.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being and social engagement.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans for clients with conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer’s, autism, or developmental disabilities.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols related to patient observation, medication administration, and emergency procedures such as CPR or first aid.
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, group homes, or home health environments is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise in caring for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or memory impairments.
- Experience supporting clients with disabilities or developmental challenges through direct support roles.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality and privacy of patient information.
- Proven ability to perform patient monitoring, vital signs measurement, and medication management accurately.
- Familiarity with care plans development and implementation tailored to individual needs.
- Hands-on experience with mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices is preferred.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy lifting, patient transfer techniques, and emergency response protocols like CPR or hospice care support.
