About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Product Designer to join our Growth team at Checkr. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive user acquisition, optimize conversion rates, and foster customer satisfaction through innovative design solutions. Our growth strategy emphasizes a self-serve, product-led approach, making your contributions vital to our success. As a key member of the team, you will have ownership of design initiatives, influence product direction, and bring your ideas to life to create seamless, engaging experiences for our users. Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional design experience, with a strong portfolio demonstrating impactful work
- At least 4 years of experience working within Growth teams, ecommerce, or merchandising environments
- Proven success in designing onboarding, merchandising surfaces, and optimizing conversion funnels
- Experience with iterative experimentation methodologies such as A/B testing
- Ability to independently conduct UX research and testing, translating insights into actionable design improvements
- Deep understanding of contemporary design patterns and best practices
- Strong communication skills, capable of articulating high-level concepts and aligning teams around shared goals
- Experience with behavioral science or psychology is a plus
- Familiarity with designing for B2B companies targeting SMBs is advantageous
- Demonstrated ownership, resilience, and a bias for action in fast-paced environments
Responsibilities
- Embed with the Growth team to define the product roadmap, vision, and lead design efforts
- Own and execute design work for funnel optimization, new user experiences (NUX), and personalization strategies
- Leverage AI technologies to craft personalized and engaging customer experiences
- Design growth systems, conduct experiments, and develop new product features based on data-driven insights
- Create seamless, intuitive, and delightful experiences for SMB users across various touchpoints
- Facilitate workshops and collaborative sessions to generate innovative ideas and solutions
- Translate complex concepts into simple, beautiful, and user-friendly designs from brainstorming to high-fidelity prototypes
- Build strong relationships with interdisciplinary teams to conceptualize, develop, and ship user-centered products
- Participate in UX research activities, analyze findings, and advocate for user needs throughout the design process
- Manage stakeholder feedback effectively, challenge assumptions, and uphold design best practices
