Job Identification
Position Title: Production Operator
Reports To: Plant Manager
Location: Ohio Facility, USA
Position Summary
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Operator is responsible for performing key manufacturing operations such as cutting, drilling, and preparing components according to technical drawings and production specifications.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced production environment while ensuring high-quality standards and efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Operations
- Operate cutting, drilling, and other production equipment as required
- Perform preparation and processing tasks according to production orders
- Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions
- Ensure all components meet company specifications and quality standards
- Follow established production flow and operational procedures
Quality Control
- Perform visual inspections of parts to ensure quality compliance
- Use measurement tools and gauges to verify dimensions and accuracy
- Identify and report any nonconforming products according to procedures
Production Flow & Material Handling
- Support production flow by moving materials between workstations when required
- Ensure workstations are properly supplied with materials and components
- Participate in visual management systems and Kanban processes
Workplace Safety & Organization
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all health and safety policies and operational procedures
- Properly use, maintain, and care for tools and equipment
Other Duties
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Plant Manager
Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing or production environments is an asset
- Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings or work instructions
- Ability to safely operate production equipment and tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment
