TASS Brain Injury Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced and compassionate Program Director to lead the daily operations of our specialized rehabilitation program serving individuals with brain injuries and related neurological challenges.
This leadership role is ideal for a motivated professional who thrives in healthcare operations, team development, regulatory compliance, and person-centered service delivery. The Program Director plays a vital role in ensuring excellence in care, staff leadership, organizational performance, and community representation.
Position Summary
The Program Director is responsible for overseeing all administrative functions and client service operations of the program. This individual ensures high-quality service delivery, staff accountability, regulatory compliance, financial stewardship, and a safe, supportive environment for clients and employees. Availability by telecommunications and ability to respond onsite as needed is required.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Operations
- Provide day-to-day oversight of program operations, staffing, scheduling, and service delivery
- Lead, supervise, mentor, and develop all program staff
- Foster a positive, professional workplace culture through leadership by example
- Ensure the facility remains organized, professional, and tour-ready at all times
- Conduct facility tours, interviews, and represent the organization in the community and at conferences
Client Services
- Oversee referrals, admissions, transitions, and discharges
- Ensure individualized service plans are implemented effectively
- Promote continuity of care through strong communication with staff, families, and outside providers
- Resolve client and staff concerns in a timely and professional manner
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with all licensing standards and applicable federal, state, and local regulations
- Oversee infection control, fire safety, emergency preparedness, and organizational safety initiatives
- Monitor incidents, documentation systems, and corrective action plans
- Maintain current CPR and First Aid certification
Human Resources & Staff Development
- Conduct hiring interviews and onboarding processes
- Maintain employee records and oversee performance evaluations
- Coordinate training, continuing education, and competency development
- Support counseling, coaching, and corrective action processes as needed
Financial & Administrative Management
- Review and manage annual budgets
- Prepare and submit payroll
- Oversee timekeeping systems
- Maintain and reconcile petty cash
- Coordinate transportation and operational logistics
Qualifications
Education / Experience
Qualified candidates must meet one of the following:
- Master’s degree in healthcare administration, health and human services, or related field; or
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university plus two years of experience in healthcare, social services, management, or administration; or
- Six years of combined education and/or experience in healthcare, social services, management, or administration in lieu of degree
Additional Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with staff supervision and development required
- Knowledge of post-acute rehabilitation services preferred
