Position Summary:

ATSCo operates in Elgin, IL with 50 years of experience in installing walk-in coolers, freezers, beer caves, and performing full retail store buildouts. From serving regional community corner-stores to some of the largest retailers on a national scale. We are looking for an energetic Estimator to join our amazing team!

The Estimator will be responsible for estimating the cost associated store shelving installations including determining the materials needed based on dimensions, subcontractors required, travel costs, etc.…

Roles and Responsibilities

· Be engaged, energized, and effective in sales support and estimating responsibilities.

· Read, review, and research scope documents and architectural drawings to determine refrigeration equipment allocation and shelving fixture allotment for quoting.

· Calculate refrigeration cooler/freezer BTUH loads using company standard equations and requirements to determine required refrigeration equipment.

· Complete estimates in a timely manner and in accordance with company standards, then review for accuracy and completeness prior to submission to Customer.

· Communicate with sales, project management and field operations teams to complete quote requests as required.

· Research or expand on new product lines, build relationships with vendors.

· Create mechanical specification documents to distribute to subcontractors and internal labor.

· Customer service as required

· Other assigned duties as required

Qualifications, Competencies, & Abilities:

· Structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

· Persuasiveness, ability to win over other people during difficult customer conversations

· Excellent time management and organizational skills.

· Self-Motivated, with the ability to work with little or no supervision.

· Strong level of attention to detail.

· Knowledge of algebraic math functions (Applying mark-ups, applying product vendor multipliers, calculating discounts)

· Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

· Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate information and ideas both verbally and written so others will understand.

· Work and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels, including executives.

Education and Experience:

· Previous experience in estimating shelving and/or cooler/freezers a plus

· Fluent with Microsoft Office Suite

· Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
