Physical Therapist (PT) / Physical Therapy Assistant ( PTA ) – FLEX SCHEDULE – Part time or PRN – St. Louis and Jefferson County Areas
Alternative Home Health is seeking a passionate PT / PTA to join our growing team. As a PT/PTA , you would be able to work independently, be dependable, compassionate and have a desire to help others. The Physical Therapist / Physical Therapy Asst will travel to patients’ homes and be responsible for administering individualized patient care and perform duties accordance with physician orders. As a PT / PTA you are under the direction and supervision of the Director of Clinical Services.
PT / PTA Responsibilities
- Treat patients by using therapeutic and self-care activities designed to improve function
- Monitor a patient’s activities to make sure they are performing them correctly and to offer encouragement
- Contribute to meetings and case conferences to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care plans for patients
- Document patient’s weekly progress in appropriate records
- Maintain the office treatment areas, equipment, and supply inventory
- Instruct patients, their families and any other caregivers in skills and techniques of the patient’s treatment program
- Maintain valid certification
