What You’ll Do

  • Operate heavy equipment — dump trucks, graders, loaders, snowplows.
  • Maintain and repair streets, curbs, and drainage systems.
  • Assist with water line and meter installation, repair, and maintenance.
  • Maintain sewer collection systems and repair line breaks or blockages.
  • Help maintain Town facilities, vehicles, trails, and parks.
  • Follow Town safety procedures and participate in on-call rotation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to lift 50–75 lbs and handle heavy physical labor.
  • Willing to work on-call and 24-hour standby as needed.
  • Licensing (can obtain after hire):
  • Commercial Class A CDL within 6 months.
  • Utah Level 1 Water Distribution & Level 1 Wastewater Collection Certifications within 1 year.
  • Flagger Certification within 6 months.

Preferred / Advanced Candidates

  • Hold a Class A CDL and/or Utah Drinking Water and Wastewater Certifications (Level II or higher).
  • Pay is higher and negotiable DOE for qualified operators.

Pay: $20.00 – $27.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Heavy equipment operation: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Driver’s License (Required)
  • CDL A (Preferred)
  • Wastewater Operator Certification (Preferred)
  • Water Operator Certification (Preferred)
