Quality Assurance Technician Jobs in Claremont, NH at North Country Smokehouse
The QA Technician will report directly to the QA Director. This position requires the ability to multitask, be self-motivated, and become an integral part of the facility’s daily operations and quality programs. All in compliance with the standards of wholesomeness, hygiene, health & safety at work. This is a night shift position with flexible hours.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Consistently maintain and improve the high standards of North Country Smokehouse
– Consistently maintain a positive working culture and professional relationships
– Conduct production room inspections to ensure all policies and procedures are being followed
– Conduct GMP inspections
– Conduct production specific task verifications (can change at discretion of QA Director)
– Immediately communicate with QA Director and/or QA Supervisor anything which can result in unsafe or poor-quality product, and will need to be placed on hold
– Communicate via teams, email, and radio as needed
– Conduct QA and GMP checklists in production room
– Monitor Safefoods360 for accuracy and completeness as directed
– Communicate with production employees as observations are detected
– Properly document all findings and follow up actions to findings
– Assist in metal detection activities
– Assisting production as needed
– Conduct self-assessments
– Conduct ATP and Allergen Specific Swabs as needed
– Conduct MAP test, product sizes, Aw, and Yields
– Net Weight
– Tool issuance/Tool Collection
– Conduct Pre-op activities or End of Day activities
– Assist in Releasing products as needed
– Helping to assist in investigations for customer complaints if needed
– Maintain Retain Library as needed
– Collect Samples and bring to Lab as directed
– Conduct Internal Audits as needed (Glass and brittle plastic, pest control and food defense)
– Conduct Calibrations as needed (Scales, thermometers, chemical titrations
PERSON TO SUPERVISE:
– Position with no staff supervision
IN COLLABORATION WITH :
– Production
– Quality Control
– Warehouse
– Administration
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
– High school diploma or G.E.D
– Prior Quality or Production experience
– Good computer skills
– Able to pass criminal background check, physical and drug screen
REQUIRED SKILLS
– Strong commitment to teamwork and concern for others (promote a team-building environment)
– Ability to multitask
– Must be self motivated
– Become an integral part of the facility’s daily operations, quality and food safety programs
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
– Able to work in a cold environment
– Wear all PPE including steel-toe shoes

Pay: $21.00 – $25.50 per hour
