SUMMARY:
This position works as a member of the Quality Team and supports the production of high quality assemblies through continuous improvement of process, product quality, and associated systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Final Inspection station responsibilities for line 1 or line 2 as assigned. Correct air pressure. Check and correct wheel tire assembly balance.
Operate and monitor Hunter Road wheel balancer and tire changer to conduct advanced diagnostic run-out and force matching checks on tire/wheel assemblies.
Establish strong and professional working relationships with Supervisors, Operators, and Production Coordinators.
Inspects appearance visual checks to specified criteria. Verifies torque using wrench.
Gathers defect data daily.
Addresses top defects to investigate.
Provides data and investigation support to Quality Engineer(s) as needed and reports assembly discrepancies.
Detail oriented and ability to quickly perform designated inspections.
Other duties as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
2 + years of experience in Production, Manufacturing, or Quality Assurance, preferably in a high tech or automotive environment.
Self-motivated, flexible, problem solving skills, ability to handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines.
Ability to visually inspect multiple components.
Ability to stand 8 or more hours daily.
Manual dexterity; ability to use hand tools.
Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs., rarely lifts more than 50 lb. with assistance.
Must be available to work Days, Swing and Graveyard as assigned.
PREFERRED:
WMS/ERP and Excel skills a plus.
