We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to join our team. This role ensures operational and procedural excellence across both site-level and network-level functions by managing containment actions, cross functional partnerships, audit compliance and site improvement efforts. The role will drive continuous improvement in inventory quality, compliance, and cost efficiency—while supporting the execution of site-level quality plans and scaling network audit programs through automation and reporting.
What You'll Do
Network Containment Management: Coordinate and execute containment actions across the network, ensuring timely communication, tracking, and resolution of quality issues impacting inventory and fulfillment operations
Quarantine & Disposition Oversight: Manage the lifecycle of quarantined materials, including root cause analysis, rework planning, and final disposition through approved channels (e.g., scrap, return, or reuse)
Internal and 3PL Labor Coordination for Rework: Partner with internal or third-party logistics (3PL) providers to scope, schedule, and oversee rework activities, ensuring quality standards and turnaround times are met
Cross-Functional Energy Quality Point of Contact: Serve as the quality liaison between GFNV/NY, Engineering, and Planning teams to align on issue resolution, process improvements, and material flow decisions
Quality Resolution & Cost Efficiency: Lead efforts to resolve quality issues with a focus on minimizing operational disruption and maximizing cost recovery or avoidance through efficient remediation
ICQA-WH Site Action Plan Execution: Support the development and execution of Inventory Control & Quality Assurance (ICQA) and warehouse site-level action plans, driving accountability and follow-through with local stakeholders
Audit Program Growth & Automation: Contribute to the expansion and automation of the network audit program, including reporting enhancements, metric tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives
What You'll Bring
Previous experience as a cycle counter or inventory control associate and knowledge of inventory systems (WARP, MOS/MES, SAP or equivalent)
Strong computer and analytic skills, especially Excel (intermediate level required)
Attention to detail and a commitment to identifying data inaccuracies
Ability to work independently on daily tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment while being adaptable to changing priorities
Trained to operate mobile equipment, or ability to obtain certification within 30 days (Must have valid U.S. driver's license)
Must be able to lift up-to 30 lbs. on a regular, and repetitive basis
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to articulate data analysis and collaborate effectively across Warehouse stakeholders
