Company Description SIT Applied Computing Student Management Committee (AC SMC) is the representative body for learners enrolled in the Applied Computing with a Specialization in Fintech degree program. The committee serves as a platform to amplify students’ voices on academic and co-curricular matters. It actively showcases students’ technical and leadership capabilities through initiatives and projects. AC SMC also focuses on building connections between students and the broader fintech ecosystem, creating opportunities for exposure, collaboration, and professional growth.
Role Description The Regional Director is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing committee activities and initiatives within a defined regional scope. This role includes coordinating student engagement efforts, facilitating communications between students, faculty, and industry partners, and ensuring that regional activities align with the committee’s goals. The Regional Director will plan and manage events, outreach campaigns, and partnerships that highlight students’ capabilities and connect them to the fintech space. Daily tasks include strategic planning, reporting on regional performance, mentoring student leaders, and collaborating with other committee members on projects and communications. The position also involves identifying new opportunities for student development and maintaining a strong, inclusive regional community.
Qualifications

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience coordinating student or community initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders in remote settings.
  • Organizational and project management abilities to plan, execute, and monitor regional events and programs.
  • Interest in or familiarity with fintech, applied computing, or related technology fields.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, partnership building, or outreach is beneficial.
  • Background in student governance, professional associations, or similar representative roles is an advantage.
  • Current or recent enrollment in an Applied Computing, Fintech, or comparable program is preferred.
