Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a clinical, institutional, or correctional healthcare setting. The RN will assess patient needs, administer treatments and medications, respond to medical emergencies, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients, including assessment, treatment, and ongoing monitoring.
- Administer medications, immunizations, IV therapies, and other prescribed treatments.
- Monitor patient conditions, document symptoms, progress, and responses to treatment.
- Perform routine nursing duties such as taking vital signs, conducting nursing rounds, and updating patient records.
- Respond to medical emergencies by providing first aid, CPR, and coordinating emergency transport when necessary.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Perform specialized nursing procedures including wound care, catheterization, tube feeding, oxygen therapy, blood transfusions, dialysis support, phlebotomy, and other advanced nursing interventions as required.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient care and treatment planning.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, medication records, incident reports, and inventory controls.
- Ensure compliance with nursing standards, facility policies, and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Assist with training, mentoring, and orientation of new nursing staff when needed.
- Participate in staff meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education programs.
Qualifications
Required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Current BLS certification.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments and respond to emergencies.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred
- Experience in acute care, correctional healthcare, long-term care, behavioral health, or institutional settings.
- Experience with IV therapy, wound care, emergency response, and medication administration.
- ACLS certification (if applicable).
