DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This role focuses on supervising nursing services and ensuring safe, effective care for individuals at Selinsgrove Center. As a Registered Nurse Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:
Care Oversight: Coordinate and evaluate nursing services to support the health needs of assigned individuals
Staff Guidance: Direct staff in daily health and treatment activities
Regulation Compliance: Ensure all nursing services follow required laws, standards, and policies
Training Support: Assist with staff education and the implementation of health practices and procedures
Health Monitoring: Review clinical information and apply it to support safe and effective care
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- The Department of Human Services provides excellent benefits, pay increases, paid leave and holidays, as well as opportunities for career advancement.
- Work hours are 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, works every other weekend, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Overtime as needed

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years as a Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of professional nursing experience providing care and treatment services consistent with those needed for individuals with a mental or physical injury or illness and/or a developmental disability.
Special Requirements:
- All positions require active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
- All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.

This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
