Location: Pocasset, MA – On-site

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hr shifts (occasional extended hours as needed)

Job Purpose
As the Rental Manager, you’ll oversee the daily operations, performance, and growth of the rental department. This role is responsible for maximizing fleet utilization, coordinating equipment availability, improving rental processes, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience from reservation through return. The Rental Manager collaborates closely with Sales, Service, and Parts departments to maintain a ready-to-rent fleet and drive rental revenue.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily rental department operations across assigned location(s)
- Manage rental fleet utilization, availability, and forecasting
- Coordinate equipment reservations, contracts, deliveries, and returns
- Ensure equipment is maintained in “rent-ready” condition
- Monitor rental fleet performance and recommend equipment acquisition or disposal
- Lead process improvements to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Maintain accurate rental records, contracts, and inventory tracking systems
- Supervise and support rental staff and yard operations as applicable, including dispatch responsibilities of driver for rental and other branch logistics needs
- Work with Sales team to support rental-to-purchase opportunities
- Resolve customer concerns related to rental equipment and contracts
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (associate or bachelor’s degree preferred)
- 3–5+ years of experience in equipment rental, fleet management, dealership operations, or construction equipment industry
- Strong organizational and operational management skills
- Experience managing inventory, logistics, or fleet utilization
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to analyze data and make operational decisions
- Proficiency with CRM, rental management software, or dealership systems
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience with compact construction equipment or heavy equipment rental operations
- Knowledge of dealership rental workflows and service coordination

Competitive Compensation
Salary: $65,000-$70,000 annually, based on experience (bonus potential available)
