Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a Weekend Nurse Supervisor for our skilled nursing facility. This role is responsible for overseeing clinical operations during weekend evening and overnight shifts, ensuring the highest standards of resident care, and providing leadership and support to nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs) during weekend shifts
- Ensure quality, safety, and continuity of care for all residents
- Act as the clinical leader and primary point of contact during assigned shifts
- Assess resident conditions and respond to changes, incidents, or emergencies
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulations
- Conduct routine rounds to monitor resident care and staff performance
- Address family and resident concerns in a professional and compassionate manner
- Support staffing needs, including assignments and coverage adjustments
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
Qualifications:
- Active Florida RN license (required)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
- Prior supervisory or charge nurse experience strongly preferred
- Strong leadership, clinical judgment, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
- Excellent communication and team-building skills
Schedule & Benefits:
- Weekend shifts:
- 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (Evening)
- 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Overnight)
