Overview We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Route Service Driver to join our team. This position will require you to have your own personal reliable transportation to use during route. This role will also require you to attend a mandatory 2-week training in San Marcos, TX. M-F 8am-5pm, lodging will be provided for during the work week. The ideal candidate will be responsible for servicing our machines at various locations, this will include some of the following: fixing bill acceptors, collecting and filling funds, machine brain swaps, etc. This is an entry level position, and all training will be provided before being sent out into the field. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and efficiency, as well as the ability to manage time effectively while adhering to scheduled routes. The ideal candidate will be required to have a good, reliable vehicle to use on daily route. This role will also require you to be intermediately experienced with a smartphone to obtain your daily route, route changes, and for headquarters to acquire time sensitive information quickly. This role includes servicing advance computer technology. You will be assigned a schedule on a monthly basis and will need to have the ability to work evenings and weekends when scheduled.
Duties
- Operate personal motor vehicle, ensuring safe and timely transportation of goods.
- Navigate assigned routes efficiently, making timely deliveries and pickups.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including documentation of any issues encountered during route.
- Provide exceptional customer service by interacting positively with clients, if needed.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies regarding vehicle operation.
- Tech savy is a plus.
- Flexibility to perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Proven experience in route driving or commercial driving preferred.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on building positive relationships with clients.
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting tasks if needed.
- Ability to problem solve on route.
- Comfortable working weekends as needed
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple route stops efficiently.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is essential.
- Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.
- 2-week mandatory training in San Marcos, TX. Monday-Friday 8am – 5pm.
- Must be able to work evenings/weekends.
- Veterans or former law enforcement experience is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 – $30.00 per hour
