Duties
- Greet customers warmly, providing exceptional customer service to enhance their shopping experience
- Assist customers in selecting products, offering knowledgeable advice and conducting engaging product demonstrations
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Upsell related products and accessories to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a positive attitude
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays, stock shelves, and ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and inviting
- Manage inventory by stocking shelves regularly and conducting basic stock counts using retail math principles
- Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or scheduling appointments
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar fast-paced environments
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills and the ability to guide team members effectively
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and cash handling procedures required
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on active listening and clear verbal interactions
- Experience in product demos, upselling techniques, merchandising, and stock management is advantageous
- Basic math skills necessary for retail transactions, inventory counts, and retail math calculations
