Sales Development Representative Jobs in United States at Synthetic Users

Title: Sales Development Representative

Company: Synthetic Users

Location: United States

Sales Revenue Representative (SRD) — UK & Portugal

Synthetic Users · Remote-first (UK or Portugal-based) · Full-time

Selling research insights to people who weren't sure research could move this fast.

THE JOB

Own the conversation from "wait, that's not real research" to "we just ran our whole discovery phase before lunch."

You'll close revenue — we won't dress that up. You'll run discovery calls and live demos where the product does most of the convincing, take inbound from PMs, marketers, agencies, and researchers, and go outbound to teams whose research budget is quietly leaking. You'll handle the objection we hear on every call — "is this meant to replace real researchers?" — honestly, because the honest answer (no, it's a discovery co-pilot) is also the one that closes. You'll own your conversations and tell us when the product, pricing, or pitch is slowing a deal down.

WHO YOU ARE

Based in the UK or Portugal, with experience selling research services — you've sold insights, fieldwork, or research tooling before, so you already know the buyer and the budget. You work fluently in English — our market, materials, and team all run in it. You can sell a technical product without faking depth you don't have, and you're comfortable saying "I don't know, let me get you the real answer" — then doing it.

DON'T APPLY IF

  • You need a 40-page playbook before you'll pick up the phone.
  • You think "the product sells itself" is a strategy.
  • You go quiet the moment a customer disagrees with you.
  • You'd be embarrassed to sell AI to a room of human researchers.

WHAT YOU GET

Remote-first, async-friendly, low-meeting. Competitive base plus uncapped commission — real numbers on the first call, not the fifth. Ownership of your pipeline, a short path from your idea to a shipped change, and a science team that publishes its own failure modes in public, so you're never defending a black box.

THE HONEST PART

Early-ish category, early-ish team. Some weeks demand is ahead of process. The product is excellent and visibly imperfect at once. If you want certainty, we're not it. If you want to help define how a category gets sold, you might be exactly it.

HOW TO APPLY

Skip the cover letter. Send a short note (Loom, voice memo, or three paragraphs) answering one question: a researcher on a demo says, "This is going to put people like me out of a job." What do you say next? No perfect answer — we're reading for how you think on your feet.
