ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Auditor to join our growing audit practice. The ideal candidate brings 5–6 years of hands-on audit experience with local and regional public accounting firms and has demonstrated expertise in commercial audits, non-profit audits and federal Single Audits under the Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200). KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and execute financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations for non-profit organizations and other clients
- Plan, supervise, and complete Single Audits (Uniform Guidance / OMB 2 CFR Part 200) from start to finish
- Identify and evaluate internal controls, assess risks, and document findings in audit workpapers
- Review federal and state grant compliance, including the preparation and review of the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (SEFA)
- Draft audit reports, management letters, and communications to boards and audit committees
- Supervise and mentor staff and senior associates on audit engagements
- Coordinate directly with client management, CFOs, and board members
- Stay current on GAAP, GAAS, Yellow Book standards, and Uniform Guidance updates
- Assist with proposal preparation and business development initiatives
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
- CPA license or actively pursuing CPA certification (required or strongly preferred)
- 5–6 years of audit experience in a local or regional public accounting firm
- Demonstrated experience performing or supervising non-profit audits
- Hands-on experience with federal Single Audits under Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and Government Auditing Standards (Yellow Book)
- Proficiency with audit software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Active CPA license
- Experience with HUD audits, healthcare non-profits, or government entities
- Familiarity with state grant compliance requirements
- Prior supervisory or in-charge experience on audit engagements

Pay: $90,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
