Job Description/Summary:
The operational position is the key production person facilitating assembly, testing, quality control and continuous quality improvement leading to the finished product. Work under the supervision of the General Manager in an effort to produce the highest quality mosquito fogging equipment in the industry.
Key position objective:
The Sr. Operations Tech’s key objective is to oversee assembly of each machine, test, and package each unit under a certain quality standard. Communication skills are essential in managing parts inventory and finished goods stock in order to always have adequate par levels. Operate in sync with forecasting and procurement in order to produce just in time finished goods to satisfy the needs of the London Foggers client. Understanding and execution of electrical and process engineering is essential to produce a world class product.
Key responsibilities:
1. Quality Control and Assembly of Foggers: Follow the quality control standards in producing or directing the production of each unit. Assemble with a consistent and reproducible skill every unit every day.
2. Customer Support and Trouble Shooting: Interact with the distribution or end user customer in answering technical questions on fogger operations.
3. Inventory Control: Inventory cost is a (KPI) key performance Indicator of a successful operations. Use of appropriate parts with zero defect and failure is the goal of this position.
- Parts Supervision: Make sure that the procurement staff understands order points when inventory levels are low or off forecasting models.
- Finished Goods: Make sure that the procurement staff understands order points when inventory levels are low or off forecasting models. Also, the management of the finished goods area is clean, organized, and safe for all to enter the area.
- Effective Communication: Must effectively communicate with staff, especially customer service and customers every day. Everyone has their part in a small business environment and communication is Key!
- Shipping and Receiving: All aspects of shipping, moving inventory and receiving products from our suppliers is the responsibility of the Sr. Operations Technician. Working with third party truckers, forklift operation and use of air tools are essential for a safe and productive outcome/workplace.
4. Electrical wiring proficiency: Main function is to wire components every day. Understand an electrical print and produce components that will be added to all production foggers.
5. Accuracy Testing and Documentation: Limited testing of machines using the DC-IV software. Accurate documentation of test results on each machine is a key task for this position. Proper use of PPE and active air vented assess room is essential to workers safety.
6. Reliability and Work Ethic: It is important to be on time and work diligently every day to support the team. Show up on time, be attentive to others and work hard.

Requirements:
– A two-year technical degree or four-year engineering directed degree is encouraged.
– Ability to work in Long Lake MN Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m.– 4:30 p.m.
– Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks.
– Minimum of 5 years in a production environment in a lead role.
Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
