About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Senior Vice President of Corporate Development to join our executive leadership team. This role is responsible for leading enterprise growth initiatives, corporate development strategy, strategic partnerships, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), investments, and long-term value creation across the organization.
The Senior Vice President of Corporate Development will work closely with the CEO, executive leadership team, and key stakeholders to identify growth opportunities, evaluate strategic investments, expand corporate partnerships, and support the organization's long-term strategic objectives. The ideal candidate combines executive leadership, financial expertise, strategic planning, and corporate growth experience within dynamic and growth-oriented environments.
Key ResponsibilitiesCorporate Development Strategy
- Develop and execute enterprise-wide corporate development strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities that support long-term growth and enterprise value creation.
- Lead strategic planning for market expansion, new business opportunities, and corporate growth initiatives.
- Provide executive leadership with recommendations on strategic priorities and business opportunities.
- Support the development of long-term corporate growth roadmaps.
Mergers, Acquisitions & Strategic Investments
- Lead the evaluation of mergers, acquisitions, strategic investments, and joint venture opportunities.
- Oversee financial, operational, and strategic due diligence activities.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders throughout transaction lifecycles.
- Support post-transaction integration planning and value realization initiatives.
- Evaluate investment opportunities that align with long-term business objectives.
Strategic Partnerships & Business Expansion
- Develop and strengthen strategic relationships with corporate partners, investors, industry organizations, and key stakeholders.
- Identify partnership opportunities that support organizational growth.
- Lead negotiations for strategic alliances and business collaborations.
- Support international expansion and market development initiatives.
- Strengthen the organization's strategic ecosystem and market presence.
Corporate Strategy & Business Planning
- Partner with executive leadership to support enterprise strategic planning.
- Conduct market assessments, competitive analysis, and industry research.
- Develop business cases, executive presentations, and strategic recommendations.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, and new market opportunities.
- Support board-level planning and corporate governance activities.
Business Performance & Executive Reporting
- Establish performance metrics that measure corporate development initiatives.
- Monitor strategic initiative outcomes and business performance.
- Provide executive leadership and the Board of Directors with strategic reports and recommendations.
- Support data-informed investment and business planning decisions.
- Promote accountability through structured governance and reporting.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Operations, Legal, Product, Technology, Marketing, Human Resources, and Business Development teams.
- Align corporate development initiatives with organizational priorities.
- Lead enterprise-wide strategic initiatives requiring executive sponsorship.
- Facilitate communication and coordination across business functions.
- Promote organizational alignment and execution excellence.
Leadership & Team Development
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing corporate development and strategy teams.
- Foster a collaborative, innovative, and performance-driven culture.
- Support executive talent development and succession planning.
- Encourage continuous learning and professional development.

QualificationsRequired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Management, or a related discipline.
- MBA, CFA, CPA, or other advanced business-related credentials preferred.
- Minimum 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in corporate development, corporate strategy, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, management consulting, or executive business leadership.
- Demonstrated experience leading corporate growth initiatives, strategic partnerships, and complex business transactions.
- Strong understanding of financial analysis, valuation, strategic planning, and corporate governance.
- Experience working directly with executive leadership teams and Boards of Directors.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, analytical, and strategic decision-making skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within technology, SaaS, artificial intelligence, fintech, financial services, healthcare, energy, manufacturing, or professional services industries.
- Experience supporting domestic and international business expansion.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and investment analysis capabilities.
- Experience leading mergers, acquisitions, post-merger integration, or corporate investment initiatives.
- Proven success building scalable corporate development organizations in high-growth environments.
