Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Service Porter to join our dynamic team! Duties
- Safely move, load, unload, and park vehicles using appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary
- Assist with vehicle detailing, cleaning, and basic maintenance to ensure vehicles are presentable for customers or internal use
- Operate various types of commercial vehicles including box trucks, shuttle buses, or flatbeds to transport vehicles or parts within the facility or between locations
- Support the logistics team by organizing vehicle storage areas and ensuring efficient flow of freight and equipment
- Follow safe lifting practices during heavy lifting tasks involving tires, batteries, or other vehicle components
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding vehicle status, movement instructions, or safety concerns
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles for mechanical issues or safety hazards using basic mechanical knowledge
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving or shuttle driving is preferred
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route driving in various weather conditions
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently; experience with manual handling and heavy equipment operation is advantageous
- Knowledge of commercial vehicle operation including air brake systems, manual transmission, tanker trucks, or heavy haul configurations
- Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with freight movement and logistics processes
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively within a team environment
- Mechanical aptitude and understanding of basic vehicle maintenance or heavy equipment operation are a plus
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
