An RV Service Technician inspects, maintains, and repairs Recreational Vehicles. We troubleshoot and fix mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural issues to ensure vehicles are safe and fully operational. Tasks range from routine maintenance to repairing appliances and exterior panels. Core Responsibilities
- Diagnostics: Test, inspect, and troubleshoot electrical circuits, propane gas lines, plumbing systems, and chassis components.
- Repairs: Replace or repair broken parts, fix all leaks.
- Customer Service: Explain system operations to RV owners, diagnose reported issues, and estimate costs for labor and materials.
- Documentation: Record information on required parts, completed work, and maintenance steps in alignment with manufacturer specifications.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: A high school diploma or GED is generally required.
- Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in general knowledge in slide out operations, mechanics, carpentry, electrical work, sealing roofs and exterior of Rv’s and plumbing.
- Certifications: Certifications from trade schools or Recreational Vehicle Service Technicians – RVIA, RVTAA or NRVTA highly beneficial and often preferred by employers.
- Physical & Tools: Capability to lift heavy equipment, work in various weather conditions, and furnish personal hand and shop tools and equipment.
Pay: $15.00 – $25.00 per hour
