ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
1. Performs following tasks:
· Interprets packing slips.
· Enters correct information into the computer to acknowledge receipt of goods in the purchase order and processing database.
· Estimates weight, to calculate the cost of shipping.
· Completes bills of lading
· Receives raw materials and goods ordered by purchasing
· Forklift Experience
· Supports the shipment of goods produced and the receipt of goods and supplies to use in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base.
2. Prepares paperwork to complete truck load shipments.
Have working knowledge of forms used and required by ATI’s major freight carriers.
3. Arrange pick-up by the carrier specified on the customer’s purchase order, and complete final inspection specified on shipping instructions.
4. Inspects incoming and outgoing products for damage and reports defective/questionable materials or conditions to the department supervisor.
5. Orders and maintains supplies of shipping materials to ensure materials are always in stock. ·
CERTIFICATION, EDUCATION EXPERIENCE:
Minimum: High school diploma or GED required; One (1) year shipping and experience required; forklift experience. Position will be required to perform basic math; and must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
Required: Experience with UPS/FEDEX on-line software.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.50 – $20.00 per hour
