Shipping Technician / Material Specialist Jobs in North Sutton, NH at Labsphere, Inc.
Job Purpose: Responsible for being able to perform all duties and tasks associated with kitting jobs and issuing materials, shipping sales orders, receiving customer or vendor supplied materials, RMAs and Inventory Control, including Full Physical Inventories and daily cycle-counts.
Essential Job Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
- Shipping (primary)
o Responsible for all domestic and international shipments.
o Use FedEx, UPS, and DHL portals to schedule domestic and international shipments.
o Determine shipment method from the sales order; pick and pack product.
o Process sales orders in Epicor and through FedEx/UPS software.
o Assist with product crating as required.
o Ensure freight charges are applied properly, including prepay and add, collect, and prepaid terms.
o Run and distribute end-of-day shipping reports.
· Inventory (as needed)
o Pick kits for jobs and issue materials.
o Organize and maintain inventory locations, including updating default part locations as needed.
o Research and reconcile inventory variances.
· Receiving (as needed)
o Assist with and fill in for receiving as needed.
o Unpack and visually inspect incoming shipments for damage.
o Verify incoming product and supply counts against packing slips and perform purchase order receipts in Epicor.
o Refuse damaged shipments and note damage on the delivery bill of lading.
o Accurately enter receipts for all products and supplies received into the Epicor system.
o Put parts away in a timely manner.
Additional Responsibilities
- Knowledge of ISO procedures and follow as required.
- Actively participates in Labsphere’s continuous improvement process.
- Maintains an organized and clean work area.
- Other duties as assigned.
General Requirements (Education, Experience, Attributes of Successful Candidate)
- High school diploma or equivalent, one year of material control (stockroom attendant, receiving, production control).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including the use of spreadsheets, databases, graphs and word processing.
- Experience in with UPS Worldship, FedEx Ship Manager, and other shipping software platforms.
- Experience using ERP systems. Epicor experience preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor to deal with internal and external contacts.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work effectively in a multitask environment under deadlines. Must work independently and show initiative.
- Proven ability to meet challenges that lie beyond the current position description and learn to solve problems creatively.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend, kneel, reach, lift (up to 35 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally), sit and stand as well as talk and/or hear. - The work environment is casual, yet professional. The individual in this position will be exposed to a production/manufacturing and warehouse environments as well as a normal office environment. The noise level in the work area is usually moderate. Pay: $21.00 – $27.00 per hour
