Position Overview
Got Gear Motorsports is looking for a motivated, dependable, and hands-on individual to join our Service Department as a Shop Helper. This is an entry-level position designed for someone who enjoys working with their hands, learning new skills, and being part of a team that works on powersports equipment.
The ideal candidate is someone who grew up helping their Dad, Uncles, Cousins, or other family members in the garage, on the farm, or in the shop, someone who has spent time around tools, equipment, and mechanical projects, and who wants to build a career in the powersports industry.
This position is perfect for someone who is mechanically curious, willing to learn, takes pride in their work, and has a positive attitude.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assist Service Technicians with daily shop operations
- Help with moving, cleaning, organizing, and preparing equipment
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Assist with basic maintenance tasks and shop projects
- Learn proper use of tools, equipment, and service procedures
- Support technicians with parts, supplies, and workflow needs
- Follow safety guidelines and company procedures
- Provide dependable help wherever needed in the Service Department
Qualifications & Skills:
- Entry-level experience welcome — willingness to learn is the most important requirement
- Comfortable working with hand tools and basic equipment
- Interest in motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, boats, outdoor equipment, or mechanical work is a plus
- Previous experience helping with vehicles, farm equipment, lawn equipment, or shop projects is beneficial
- Must be dependable, motivated, and willing to work hard
- Able to take direction and learn from experienced technicians
- Strong attention to detail and a good work ethic
- Pleasant, respectful, and team-oriented attitude
