Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Sign Production Technician to support daily manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for producing high-quality signage by operating printers, catching and handling prints, finishing products, and preparing orders for shipment.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on role critical to ensuring orders are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time.
Key Responsibilities Printing & Production
- Operate large-format printers to produce yard signs and related products
- Load print materials (corrugated plastic, stands, etc.) into machines
- Monitor print quality during production runs
- Catch and organize printed materials as they come off the printer
Finishing & Assembly
- Cut printed materials to correct sizes and specifications
- Assemble signs with stakes or additional components as required
- Inspect all products for quality, alignment, and defects
Order Fulfillment & Packaging
- Sort and organize completed orders by job
- Package signs securely for shipping or pickup
- Label boxes accurately for delivery (blind shipping when needed)
- Stage completed orders for shipment or customer pickup
Quality Control
- Ensure all jobs match order specifications before leaving production
- Catch errors early (design issues, sizing, print defects)
- Maintain consistency in color, alignment, and finishing
Shop Organization & Support
- Keep production areas clean and organized
- Assist with inventory (materials, ink, stands, packaging supplies)
- Support team members to maintain workflow and meet deadlines
Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to lift 30–50 lbs regularly
- Reliable and punctual
- Basic math skills
- Willingness to learn equipment and production processes
Primary Schedule:
- Monday – Thursday
- 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Additional Hours Available:
- Friday shifts may be required based on production volume and order demand.
- Occasional weekend hours may be available during peak production periods.
Overtime Opportunities:
