Position: Site Security Manager – (QTS / CO / MW RZ) with Security Clearance
Description The Site Security Manager (SSM) is responsible for overseeing day-to-day security operations at a cleared, 24/7 data center construction site. This role ensures strict compliance with federal, state, local, and contract-specific security requirements while maintaining a secure environment for personnel, property, and sensitive assets. The SSM provides direct supervision of unarmed security personnel, supports the Campus Security Manager, and serves as a key leader in maintaining operational readiness for audits and inspections.
Strong leadership, flawless documentation practices, and hands-on knowledge of physical security systems are essential for success in this role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Assist the Campus Security Manager in the execution of all security services and act as the designated backup when required.
* Supervise, train, and support unarmed security personnel assigned to the site, ensuring consistent performance and adherence to post orders.
* Support recruitment, onboarding, orientation, training, development, and retention of security staff.
* Ensure all security personnel maintain required licensing and meet applicable federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
* Maintain accountability, maintenance, and security of all supplier-provided equipment, tools, and expendable supplies.
* Maintain accurate training records, incident logs, and required security documentation.
* Ensure personnel are fully trained and competent in site security systems, access control processes, equipment, and response procedures.
* Prepare for and support internal and third-party audits, including unannounced inspections, by enforcing approved security controls and procedures.
* Consistently maintain documentation and standardized processes in alignment with audit and compliance requirements.
* Serve as Acting Campus Security Manager as needed to cover staffing gaps or operational needs.
