SKILLED LABOR (80% TRAVEL)
Hiring an experienced skilled worker to add to our decommissioning team – projects nationwide. Opportunity to advance to a responsible productive foreman and member of our team.
Current project is in Corpus Christi, TX . Then near Austin, TX
Company pays for all transport, lodging and meals.
Requirements
- Industrial experience – (Min 6 years in big plants / industry)
- OSHA 10 Certification. (MINUMUM – CURRENT OSHA BASIC PLUS). ONLY Apply if you have this. TWIC preferred.
- Must pass a background screen with no Felony or DUI, (required by clients).
- Ability to operate some heavy equipment (boom forklift, trailer maneuvering)
- Desire / availability to travel 80% +, year-round (Position requires extensive travel)
- Healthy – Must be fit; able to work in all weather conditions; not afraid of heights
- Basic computer skills (Word, Email)
- Must pass physical and be able to work
- Effective communication skills and a team player.
- Must have a valid driver license, dependable vehicle and cell phone
- Spanish bilingual a plus
Responsibilities
- Keep SAFETY your # 1 priority
- Work alongside our skilled labor crew on projects, nationwide.
- Maintain productivity schedules and meet deadlines
Job scope
Disassembly of large power transformers, breakers, industrial electrical equipment, and small entire plants nationwide. Safe and timely load out of all processed parts.
Typical off-site project is 2-6 consecutive weeks and 40 + hours per week. In between projects, we have part-time work available at our Houston-based warehouse. (near NRG Stadium)
Background requirements
- No felony or DUI.
- Subject to random drug screening.
- Authorized to work in the US.
Salary / Advancement opportunity
$23.00 to $28.00 /hour, Depending on Experience
Bonus program offered
Per diem paid weekly
If candidate passes 3-month provisional 1099 employment, we may offer a full-time position as a W-2 employee, with benefits.
Great opportunity for advancement, position can lead to Superintendent position.
