Slaughter/Harvest Butcher for Beef & Bison Jobs in Cannon Falls, MN at Lorentz Meats
Objective:
Join our skilled team in skinning, trimming, and inspecting carcasses. Our team of butchers process up to 100 beef or bison per day.
Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm or until the work is done, Saturday as needed
Requirements:
- Able to utilize knives, saws, and other equipment to perform meat cutting and trimming.
- Desire and ability to follow general food safety practices.
- Breakdown of full carcasses to half carcasses for further processing.
- Willing to work individually as well as in a team.
- Maintain a safe environment- Personal Safety and Food Safety.
- Willing to learn and follow our processes.
- Positive Attitude—makes everyone’s day better, including yours!
- Manufacturing experience is helpful, but not necessary.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a moving carcass on a rail system, debris and wet floor. Work in acrid odors and sometimes very hot (mainly July & August) conditions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
