Position: Social Media Manager (Freelance)

Hours: 15-20 hours per week

Office Hours: Online availability required for meetings scheduling 

Flexible Hours: Remaining hours may be completed remotely with flexible scheduling

Project Overview:

This role involves creating, managing, and optimizing content across social media platforms to drive brand awareness, engagement, and growth of followers. The Social Media Manager will be expected to create content, captions, execute campaigns, and actively manage interactions with followers, all with a focus on expanding the brand’s reach and fostering a loyal community.

Objectives:

1.    Follower Acquisition: Grow followers across social media platforms with a focus on attracting potential customers.

2.    Engagement: Increase user interaction (likes, comments, shares, etc.) and foster conversations with followers.

3.    Content Creation, Execution & Scheduling: Develop and implement a content calendar to maintain consistent posting and brand presence.

4.    UGC & Content Creator Management (non-influencer): Collaborate with the team to source, coordinate, and manage content from everyday customers and creators, not including influencers.

Responsibilities:

1.    Content Creation & Management

  • Create, write, and publish engaging social content (static, video, reels, stories, etc.) aligned with Karuna Skin’s brand voice and visual identity.
  • Maintain and execute a weekly/monthly content calendar across platforms.
  • Produce stories, polls, interactive features, and trend-driven content regularly.

2.    Growth & Acquisition Strategy

  • Develop strategies to grow followers and attract potential customers.
  • Execute platform-specific strategies to attract new followers and convert them into customers.
  • Monitor and track growth, engagement, and customer interactions.

3.    Performance Monitoring

  • Track KPIs including engagement rate, follower growth, reach, saves, shares, and clicks.
  •   Deliver weekly and monthly reports with actionable insights and recommendations.
  •  Use data to iterate and optimize ongoing content strategy.

4.    UGC & Content Creator Coordination

  • Partner with the Community Management Coordinator on strategy for sourcing, briefing, and activating everyday creators; provide strategic guidance on prioritizing high-performing content.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align creator content with broader social and campaign goals. *This does not include influencer sourcing, coordination, or outreach.

Deliverables

1. Weekly/Monthly content calendar

2. 6+ social media posts within the grid per week, + daily stories deployment across all brand owned channels.

3. Creator/UGC coordination and management oversight (non-influencer), in partnership with Community Management Coordinator.

4. Growth & Engagement strategy and social listening.

5. Weekly and monthly performance reports with KPIs and recommendations for optimization.

Hours and Payment

•      15-20 hours per week, at a rate of $4,000 monthly.

•      Payment will be made on a monthly basis.
