About The Role

We are seeking motivated recent graduates with a background in computer science or related fields to join our early career program. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers and contribute to meaningful projects within Affirm’s technology ecosystem. As part of the program, you will be paired with a seasoned Affirmer and collaborate in a hybrid setting, combining in-office and remote work. You will gain exposure to various tech stacks and teams, enabling you to find the best fit for your skills and career aspirations. Over the course of one year, you will develop your technical expertise, improve your problem-solving skills, and participate in growth and development activities designed to accelerate your professional journey.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or similar
  • Experience with software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, and debugging
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles
  • Ability to navigate large codebases and contribute to complex projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to seek feedback and grow professionally
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and engage with stakeholders effectively

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members to contribute to ongoing projects and achieve team goals
  • Develop, test, and maintain high-quality, well-documented code
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues within existing systems, ensuring stability and performance
