Company Description

Settle is an AI-native platform that automates enterprise data migrations — schema profiling, field mapping, transformation SQL generation, and data quality validation. We turn months-long migration projects into days. We're an early-stage startup based in NYC, backed by Antler.

Role Description

You'll work directly with the founder/CEO on shipping production features used by enterprise customers. This is a high-autonomy role with real ownership — you'll ship code that paying customers depend on, not fix typos.

What you'll work on

  • AI capabilities — improving how our platform uses LLMs to map fields, generate SQL transformations, and validate data quality. Prompt engineering, evals, and fine-tuning experiments.
  • Database and API connectors — building new connectors for Snowflake, Oracle, MySQL, REST APIs, and file-based sources. Each connector unlocks new customers.
  • Platform refinements — UI/UX improvements, validation rules, parsing edge cases, performance optimization, and core product polish.

What we're looking for

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's (rising senior) or Master's in Computer Science or related field
  • Strong fundamentals in TypeScript, React, and SQL
  • Comfortable with Next.js (App Router preferred)
  • At least one project you've shipped end-to-end (any stack)
  • Self-directed — you can take a problem, scope it, and ship without hand-holding
  • Excited about applied AI and the future of enterprise software

Bonus

  • PostgreSQL or other relational database experience
  • Built something with Claude API, OpenAI API, or other LLM tooling
  • Familiarity with Cursor, Claude Code, or other AI dev tools
  • Prior internship or open source contributions

The details

  • Dates: May 11 – August 14, 2026
  • Hours: 40 hrs/week
  • Compensation: $30–40/hour, depending on experience
  • Location: Hybrid in NYC (in-person 2–3 days/week)
  • Visa: Open to candidates on F-1 CPT or OPT
