Solar Electrician Technician Jobs in Schaumburg, IL at Freedom Forever
At Freedom Forever, we’re focused on delivering quality residential solar installations while continuing to strengthen and grow our operations. We’re looking for dependable team members who take pride in quality work, safety, and support efficient installs in the field.
What You’ll Do
- Perform Main Panel Upgrades (MPUs), battery backup installs, and residential solar electrical work
- Install and troubleshoot residential PV systems and electrical components
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues in the field
- Ensure all work meets NEC, OSHA, AHJ, and utility requirements
- Bend and install conduit (EMT)
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and plans
- Upload project documentation, photos, and job updates
- Work closely with installation crews and branch leadership to complete projects safely and efficiently
- Perform service repairs and maintenance as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of electrical installation and repair experience
- Solar experience preferred
- Working knowledge of current NEC codes
- Journeyman license or higher may be required depending on region
- Experience with residential electrical service and distribution panel replacements
- Ability to safely use electrical hand and power tools
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required
- High School Diploma or GED required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work on ladders and rooftops as needed
- Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
- Ability to work safely in outdoor and warehouse environments

Pay: $30.00 – $45.00 per hour
