Store Associate Jobs in French Lick, IN at SPRINGS VALLEY SUPPLY
At Springs Valley Supply, we are a complete building and site materials supplier located in French Lick, Indiana. We handle everything from residential and commercial foundations up to entire roofing systems. Other product and supply areas include but aren’t limited to: septic and drainage supplies, masonry, lumber, general building materials, service entrance and in-structure plumbing and electrical, paint and sundries, doors, windows, fasteners etc.
We currently have a “Store Associate” position open. Prior experience in this environment or in any of our product lines would be considered an asset.
Initial duties, requirements and responsibilities would include:
- Assist customers by asking questions as well as listening to their needs in order to help select the products needed to complete their job.
- Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds occasionally.
- Must be able to bend and lift repeatedly.
- Must be able to learn appropriate operations of machinery needed to conduct daily business, to include operating a fork lift.
- Must be able to organize special orders coming in from various vendors.
- Communicate promptly with customers in regard to special orders, quotes and delivery schedules.
- Process sales, complete invoices and returns using cash and credit card transactions.
- Develop and maintain good rapport with customers.
- Use initiative to work as a team in order to maintain high customer service standards, stocking of shelves, and assisting in keeping a clean appearance.
- Starting wages are based on level of experience with increases possible based on work performance.
