STYLING + MARKETING COORDINATOR

Design-Minded — Borrow Curated — Cleveland, OH

Are you currently in retail, planning, photography, or a creative position and are seeking a more normalized schedule? Are you someone with a sharp eye for design who also loves the chase of closing a sale? Do you get as much energy from styling a proposal beautifully as you do from talking a client into their dream event? Are you organized, responsive, and able to juggle multiple active client relationships without dropping a single thread? Do you understand that in the event world, first impressions — visual and verbal — are everything? Are you comfortable being both the face of a brand and a behind-the-scenes content creator? If design speaks to you as fluently as sales does, this role was built with you in mind.

Borrow Curated is seeking a Sales + Marketing Manager to own client-facing sales, proposal design, and marketing content for our growing event rental and design studio. This role blends relationship-driven sales with a designer’s eye — you’ll be the one crafting proposals clients fall in love with and content that makes Borrow’s aesthetic unmistakable online.

This position works directly under Ann King, Founder + Creative Director, and partners closely with our Operations team on event logistics and timelines.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Sales + Marketing Manager will manage the full sales pipeline from inquiry to signed proposal, while also leading Borrow’s marketing presence across social media, email, and content creation. The ideal candidate has a genuine design sensibility — someone who can translate Borrow’s curated, design-driven brand into every proposal, post, and email — paired with the relationship skills to close deals and keep clients feeling cared for.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage active sales inquiries and serve as the primary point of contact for prospective clients
  • Create and maintain visually polished, on-brand proposals for weddings, corporate events, and photo shoots
  • Own Borrow’s marketing efforts: social media content and scheduling, email marketing campaigns, and original content creation (photo/video direction, styling, copy)
  • Partner with the Operations team to ensure a smooth handoff of confirmed events into production and timeline tracking
  • Maintain and evolve proposal templates, brand visuals, and marketing collateral to reflect Borrow’s design aesthetic
  • Track and report on sales pipeline activity and marketing performance

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Background or training in design (interior design, graphic design, styling, or similar) — strong visual instincts are essential
  • Proven sales experience, ideally in events, hospitality, or a design-adjacent industry
  • Comfortable creating content for Instagram, TikTok, and email marketing platforms
  • Highly organized with excellent follow-through on proposals and client communication
  • Strong written communication skills; able to write copy that matches Borrow’s voice
  • Proficient with CRM/proposal tools, Canva or Adobe Creative Suite, and email marketing platforms
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, creative small-business environment

COMPENSATION + BENEFITS

Salary: 50k – 55k annually

  • 40–45 hour work week
  • Eligible for overtime at 1.5x hourly equivalent pay for hours worked beyond 45 hours per week
  • Performance and compensation reviews conducted periodically
  • Compensation and job responsibilities may be adjusted at the discretion of Ann King, Owner + CEO of Borrow Curated, LLC
  • 401(k) option
  • Insurance coverage consistent with current company offerings
  • Cell phone plan coverage
  • Paid Vacation: 14 days
  • Borrow Paid Vacation: 11 days
  • 3 paid sick days
  • $100 annual gear allowance
  • Personal use of Borrow Builds and equipment for $1 rental
  • 20% off all Borrow inventory rentals
  • Use of Borrow Event Space for one personal event per year (weekend use during high season requires prior approval)

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is a client-facing, creative role within a collaborative small-business environment. The position requires both relationship-building and visual/creative execution. Candidates should be excited about selling a design-forward brand, creating content that reflects it, and contributing to a company that values craft as much as it values the close.
