We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sushi Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese-inspired dishes with precision and artistry
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and food hygiene in all food preparation areas
- Develop new sushi recipes and presentation styles that delight customers and reflect current culinary trends
- Manage ingredient inventory, order supplies, and ensure freshness of all seafood and accompaniments
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service
- Educate junior staff on sushi techniques, knife skills, and presentation standards
- Uphold strict food safety regulations and sanitation procedures at all times
Skills
- Extensive culinary experience with a focus on sushi preparation and Japanese cuisine
- Strong knowledge of seafood handling, knife skills, and sushi rolling techniques
- Experience in curriculum development or training others in culinary arts or related fields
- Excellent classroom management skills for teaching or mentoring junior staff or trainees
- Ability to work effectively with children, adults, and diverse customer groups in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with photography for food presentation or promotional purposes is a plus
- Knowledge of behavior management and childhood development beneficial for training junior team members or conducting workshops
- Skills in lesson planning, especially related to culinary techniques or food education programs
- Passion for creativity in cooking combined with attention to detail and cleanliness

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
