About The Role

The Talent Acquisition Specialist (TAS) at Weichert, Realtors, serving the Capitol region of Maryland and Virginia, plays a vital role in recruiting top-tier sales talent to support the company's growth objectives. Reporting directly to the Residential Sales Recruiter Lead, the TAS collaborates closely with Regional Presidents and Branch Managers to identify, attract, and secure both new and experienced Sales Associates for various sales offices. This role involves proactive prospecting, conducting interviews, and guiding candidates through the recruitment process to ensure a seamless transition into the Weichert family. The position requires regular travel within the region to meet with potential candidates, attend industry events, and build relationships with local educational institutions and community organizations. The TAS is an integral member of the recruitment team, responsible for developing innovative sourcing strategies, maintaining candidate pipelines, and supporting the overall staffing needs of the company’s sales offices.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree or higher, with a minimum of 1.5 years of previous recruiting experience or a strong background in sales or management involving hiring and team development. A valid driver’s license is required due to regional travel responsibilities. Proven ability to secure appointments through cold calling, networking, and industry engagement is essential. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to present effectively to groups of varying sizes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with CRM or lead management systems are necessary. The candidate must be highly organized, capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable working independently. Basic math skills, including percentages and fractions, are required. A proactive attitude, creativity in sourcing strategies, and a strong understanding of the real estate industry or recruiting best practices will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for a range of duties aimed at attracting and hiring high-caliber sales professionals. Key responsibilities include proactively identifying potential candidates through various channels such as industry events, career fairs, local real estate schools, and networking. The TAS will conduct interviews, present the benefits of working at Weichert, and guide candidates through the hiring process, including negotiating compensation packages and conducting in-person assessments with sales office managers. Building and maintaining relationships with local educational institutions and community organizations is crucial for pipeline development. The role involves executing creative recruiting strategies to increase lead flow and candidate engagement, utilizing company-branded tools and best practices to ensure a consistent and professional candidate experience. The TAS will also collaborate with Regional Vice Presidents, Sales Managers, and the Career Development team to strategize on staffing needs, analyze market trends, and report on recruitment metrics. Meeting the target of recruiting at least 48 new and experienced Sales Associates annually is a key performance indicator. Additional duties include supporting office management functions related to staffing, attending industry and community events, and contributing to the promotion of Weichert’s brand locally.
