The Role
We are looking for a leader passionate about both success and the product to become a part of our Task Team. Being detail oriented, a go-getter, and good at communicating is the name of the game as a member of our fulfillment team. A Task Team Manager is responsible for leading a group of task team members who execute many different tasks around the grow from harvesting crop, defoliating leaves, handling waste, cleaning grow trays, and other miscellaneous tasks as the grow team needs support. This role requires consistent collaboration with our experienced grow staff to deliver the best in class product.


Responsibilities
  • Manage and mentor Task Team members responsible for supporting the grow team as necessary
  • Support the Grow Team in tasks as needed including but not limited to defoliating plants, harvesting crops, cleaning rooms after a harvest, and bucking product for final processing
  • Communicate with support teams and grow management continuously regarding process changes required from crop to crop
  • Coach Task Team on process SOPs and monitor compliance with SOPs
  • Escalate issues identified in rooms or in the facility to the grow team or management
  • Timely completion of work per schedule and strive to increase productivity through coordinated workflow
  • Keep documented logs and notes of task metrics and plant care actions for company records
  • Ensure grow standards are followed including but not limited to grow task completion, compliance, and cleanliness
  • Use PPE as required: gloves, lab coat, tinted eye protection
  • Perform all other duties as necessary and any additional duties assigned by your supervisor/manager

Required Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
  • Minimum of 2 years of management or leadership experience required
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with a team
  • Be a reliable team player
  • Positive attitude day in and day out
  • Work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrates ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Experience in an agricultural setting is a plus, but not required
  • Marijuana product knowledge and passion is a plus, but not required
  • Serve as role model for other employees and encourage adherence to safety practices, policies, and procedures
  • Have strong service and quality focus. Address issues effectively when problems arise and take initiative to understand the root cause, then communicate / educate the team in a timely manner.


Additional Requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age or older to apply
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed

Physical Demands – Must be able to:
  • Work on your feet for 8-10 hours a day besides breaks and lunch
  • Work in crouched or uncomfortable positions including repetitive motions for extended periods of time
  • Work in the dark with only green lamps for several hours at a time
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Regularly move up to 30 lbs
  • Work time expectation: 70-80% of the time will be physical labor


Working Hours:
  • M-F: 7:00 am – 4:30 pm
  • Weekends: Rotational
